SKYROCKET Blog Posts to Page 1 of Google w GPT4 (ChatGPT + Surfer SEO)

“The SEO game has changed a lot – even in the last year. Google has come right out and said that they don’t care if you use AI to create your content, provided it’s a valuable piece of content.”

What This Video Explains

In this YouTube video, the presenter explains how to optimize an article for SEO using AI tools such as SurferSEO, Grammarly, Originality.ai, and WordPress. The presenter walks through the steps involved in keyword optimization, spelling and grammar checking, plagiarism checking, originality checking, and WordPress optimization to ensure that the article is optimized for search engines and readers alike.

GPT-4 has recently been released, and the speaker is excited to share their experience using it to rank a blog post on page one of Google within hours. In this video, they will outline their process for using GPT-4 to write and rank blog posts.

Background Information

The speaker introduces themselves as Corrie, a blogger and AI content specialist. They aim to share their knowledge on making money online with content and the best tools for doing so. They also disclose that they are an affiliate for some of the tools discussed in the video.

The speaker acknowledges the rapid evolution of AI in 2023, which is exciting but also renders some of their older videos less relevant. They emphasize the importance of keeping up with the rapidly changing technology and share their updated process for ranking blog posts.

Drafting the Blog Post

The speaker shares that they used ChatGPT, the only available means of accessing GPT-4 at the time, to generate an outline for their blog post. They provide the prompts they used, cautioning against asking ChatGPT to write too much at once. They recommend keeping prompts to one or two talking points at a time to avoid errors.

Optimizing the Blog Post

The speaker moves on to optimizing the blog post using Surfer SEO. They explain how the tool’s content editor works and the importance of matching as many of the criteria as possible in terms of word count, headings, paragraphs, and images. They emphasize the significance of the terms section, which helps signal to Google that the content is complete and a good candidate for ranking in the SERPs.

Keyword Optimization with SurferSEO:

The presenter demonstrates how to optimize an article for keywords using SurferSEO. They explain that by working relevant keywords into the article in a natural way, it can improve its SEO score. The presenter shows how to use the “insert terms” feature in SurferSEO to add relevant keywords to the article automatically.

Spelling, Grammar, and Plagiarism Checking with Grammarly:

The presenter discusses how to use Grammarly Pro to check for spelling, grammar, and plagiarism issues. They demonstrate how to paste the article into Grammarly and quickly correct any issues that are flagged.

Checking Originality with Originality AI

The presenter explains how to use Originality.ai to check for originality issues. They explain that a low originality score may indicate poor writing or repetitive phrases, which can negatively impact the reader’s experience.

WordPress Optimization & Google Indexing

The presenter walks through the steps involved in optimizing an article for WordPress, including adding images, alt descriptions, SEO title, meta description, and FAQ schema markup. They also discuss adding an affiliate disclosure and link. Finally, they explain how to submit the article to Google search console for indexing.

What I love about this video

2nd person narrative

In addition to related video tip about the free Moz keyword research tip, she also includes a great prompt suggestion to get ChatGPT to write potions of your article.

“In 2nd person narrative, using a humorous, clever, educational tone of voice, Write the first part of the blog post. Do not include the numbers/letters notating the outline. Do include examples, tips, amd analogies occasionally throughout the article where they make sense. Your output should cover the following”

Of course she also mentions my preferred AI writing tool (Jasper), as well as uses Originality AI and Surfer SEO. She is not the first person who uses these tools in combination. But she does show you how you can too from start to finish.
